Giulia Biondi and Nicolas Fajt have been working together since 2020 and founded the Berlin-based architecture practice biondifajt in 2023.
biondifajt aims to challenge contemporary living and building habits, seeking new solutions and perspectives for sustainable coexistence in the future. As active members of RRRArchitecture, an international platform of professionals, they are dedicated to the reuse and rehabilitation of existing buildings.
Giulia Biondi, Arch.Dipl.USI, is currently pursuing a PhD at HCU Hamburg. Her doctoral research, Versatile Spaces: The Intelligence of Architectural Form, investigates how intrinsic spatial attributes embedded in architectural elements contribute to long-term versatility beyond function-based design. Giulia is a teaching and research assistant at the chair of Prof. Alessandro Gess at HCU Hamburg. She was previously teaching assistant at Studio RRR and at the Sustainable Design Lab in Mendrisio with Prof. Muck Petzet. She worked with Caruso St John Architects in Zürich and Sam Chermayeff Office and June 14 in Berlin. Giulia holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science from Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and is a registered architect with the Chamber of Architects in Berlin, Germany.
Nicolas Fajt, Arch.Dipl.USI, is currently a teaching assistant at Studio Meier Unger at Akademie der Bildenden Künste München with Prof. Lena Unger and Prof. Jan Meier-Unger. He is a member of the anti-demolition initiative an.dersUrania and co-founded the Mit:twoch lecture series. His professional background includes working with Heide & von Beckerath and Muck Petzet Architekten in Berlin. Nicolas earned a Master of Science from Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio and completed his Bachelor of Arts at Technische Universität München after concluding an academic exchange at Università di Bologna. He is a registered architect with the chamber of architects in Berlin, Germany.
